Anyone who's read my other reviews knows that I'm a huge fan of Vaseline. This balm can also be used for some of the usages I use Vaseline for, but it's much more agreeable to use on your face, hands, legs, and around the eyes, because it truly penetrates your skin (unlike Vaseline, that forms a barrier over it). Its composition includes shea butter and in order to feel its complete benefits you should shake the tube before use. It's appropriate for all skin types, including babies' and sensitive skin such as mine, because its rich but non comedogenic and is fragrance free. As with all Alaffia products, the packaging is beautifully designed and I love the brand's social impact. This has become a must-have product in my toiletries and I use it frequently (especially in the evenings when it's cold or whenever my skin is very, very dry). Don't apply under tight clothes (it'll stain them) or on your face in the mornings before going to work, as it takes a bit to penetrate the skin. And use just a tiny amount (a pea-size dollop will do for face and neck)!
